<p><strong>Position Title:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Primary Care Physician</p> <p><strong>Reports to: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Medical Director</p> <p><strong>FSLA Status:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>Exempt</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on a continuing basis including but not limited to <ul> <li>Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults.</li> <li>Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings</li> <li>Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making</li> <li>Prescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure</li> <li>Referring patients for consultant services when necessary</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li>Engage in health promotion activities</li> <li>Maintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient, including observations during examinations</li> <li>Complete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner, we use ECW</li> <li>Comfort working with diverse populations including recent immigrants to the United States</li> <li>Participate in night and weekend call shared among clinicians</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary team</li> <li>Attend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings</li> <li>Participate in pre-visit planning activities with the other members of the care team</li> <li>Participate in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and PEER Review</li> <li>Participate in appropriate certification/maintenance of certification and continuing medical education activities</li> <li>Maintain updated license and DEA</li> <li>Work continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner</li> <li>Comply with all laws applicable to the practice of your specialty including HIPAA and mandated reporting</li> <li>Perform other duties as required or assigned</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have an MD or DO degree &amp; board eligible/certified.</li> <li>Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in internal medicine or family medicine.</li> <li>BC/BE in specialty</li> <li>Current and valid NYS license</li> <li>Current DEA certificate</li> <li>Updated BLS and infection control certificate</li> <li>Excellent bedside manner</li> <li>Proficiency in Spanish or an South east Asian language is preferred</li> <li>Working knowledge of primary HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus</li> </ul>
